Iris Star

Select the image you want to make, usually I do a teapot.
What I like about this card is the gold edge that is added to the paper used to do part of this card. Usually I cut 1/2" strips and layered part of them with some gold ribbon for a touch of glitz. The folds form a spiral as they go around with the eye a piece of refractive gift wrap in the center the last item that is taped to the back of the card, trim the layers so it does not get too bulky.
Cut your image out carefully on the back using a template in the opening to guide your placement of the strips taping each off as you go, when finished check the front to see if it is what you want and glue it to the card and weight it down to set up so it does not shift. I have had to adjust some of the gold pieces when finished before attaching to the final card.
